Since the groundbreaking on May 29, 2008, major progress has been made at the Marriott Place Indianapolis project site. In January, the hotel complex hit a major milestone – construction crews finished pouring concrete on the lowest levels of the new Indianapolis hotel project. What was once a 40-foot hole over a six-acre area has reached ground level. In March, the exterior structure of our new hotel in Indianapolis rose up out of the ground and installation of the blue glass panels of the façade began. The Courtyard by Marriott and SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotels were topped off in June. Showrooms for the three hotels, plus the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott will be available in July. And, as construction rapidly progresses, the 34-story JW Marriott hotel tower and the new Indianapolis convention center will be topped off by the end of the year.
