Swept Off Your Feet

Your love affair begins in Indianapolis. Enjoy a couple’s getaway with fine dining and romantic activities in our charming city.

(9:30-10:15a.m.) Kick start your morning with breakfast at Café Patachou. Just a quick walk from the JW Indianapolis hotel, you can enjoy omelets to waffles, and even a mimosa if you please.

(10:30-12:00p.m.) Rent a bike (or bring your own) and hit the 7.5 mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail, where you can explore five downtown cultural districts connected by the trail including Fountain Square, Indiana Avenue, Mass Ave, the Canal & White River State Park and the Wholesale District.

(12:00-1:00p.m.) End your ride on Mass Avenue and dine al fresco at Mesh on Mass, pick up an Indy artisan gift at Silver in the City or Homespun or savor some sweets at Best Chocolate in Town.

(1:00-2:30p.m.) Have some fun and explore the local shops on Mass Avenue or walk over to the Circle Centre Mall to find some familiar places. Maybe you’ll even find something nice to wear for the evening’s events?

(2:45–4:00 p.m.) Ready to impress your date? Challenge your wine knowledge and take a tour or check out the Easley Winery Tasting room and have some fun testing out the season’s wines. You can even pick up a bottle or two to take home!

(4:15-6:00p.m.) Return to the JW Marriott Indianapolis hotel to rest and get ready for the evening.

(6:00–7:30p.m.) Head downstairs to dine at one of Indy’s outstanding Italian restaurants, Osteria Pronto, and enjoy the Tuscan-themed décor, food and wine bar.

(7:45-9:00p.m.) End your evening swept off your feet with a romantic gondola ride and serenade along the Indianapolis Canal. Ask the concierge to help make reservations for you in advanced!

Be Inspired

Discover Indianapolis’ beauty inside and out. From museums to music, we’ve got you covered.

(9:00-9:45a.m.) Head on down to Osteria Pronto for a generous breakfast buffet right at the JW Indianapolis hotel. Enjoy some omelets or pancakes to start your morning right.

(10:00-12:00p.m.) Take a tour of one of the largest and oldest general art museums, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and explore 152 acres of gardens and art while viewing over 50,000 pieces of art housed in the various exhibitions.

(12:00-1:00p.m.) Head up to the Broad Ripple neighborhood and check out Public Greens, an Urban Kitchen with a Mission – a farm-market inspired urban cafeteria and microfarm.

(1:00-3:00p.m.) Explore the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, where you can explore five downtown cultural districts connected by the trail including Fountain Square, Indiana Avenue, Mass Ave, the Canal & White River State Park and the Wholesale District and take in over $2 million of public art along the way.

(3:00–5:15 p.m.) Next stop is the Eiteljorg Museum, only museum of its kind in the Midwestart, highlighting the history and cultures of the American West and the indigenous peoples of North America

(5:30-7:15p.m.) Head back to the JW Marriott hotel for some rest and downtime before you go out for the evening.

(7:30-10:00p.m.) Enjoy dinner and a live theatrical show at the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre! Be sure to book tickets in advance and ask the concierge for help.

(10:00p.m.-?) If you’re ready for a great night out on the town, check out 1933 Lounge, a relaxed space that is a reminder of a speakeasy.

Get in the Game!

Whether you’re a spectator or prefer to take part, there’s so much to choose from…

(9:00-9:45a.m.) Kick start your morning at Lino’s at Dallara IndyCar Factory an Authentic Italian Experience! Connected to the Dallara IndyCar Factory.

(10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) Zip on over to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, 5 miles from downtown, to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and explore one of the most highly visible museums in the world devoted to automobiles and auto racing.

(12:00-1:00p.m.) Head back to the JW Marriot hotel for some lunch at High Velocity, where you can catch up on your live sports updates on any of the restaurant’s many plasma TV’s.

(1:00-2:00p.m.) While you’re at the hotel, hang out at the lobby bar or take a break before heading to your next destination.

(2:15–5:00p.m.) Walk over to the NCAA Hall of Champions, where you can learn about the student-athlete life, test the downhill skiing simulator or shoot some free throws in the 1930’s style gym or take a tour of Lucas Oil Stadium in the afternoon.

(5:15-6:30p.m.) Before you go to the evening’s main event, take a seat at the Indianapolis Colts Grille and enjoy their extensive food and drink menu, and 65 TV’s to catch up on the latest game.

(6:30-10:00p.m.) Get ready to cheer on the Indianapolis Indians, the Triple-A team affiliated with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Enjoy some beer and maybe a hotdog too at Victory Field as you watch the game. Don’t worry the Field is right next to the hotel, so you don’t have a long trip back before you head in for the night!

(10:00p.m.-?) If you are still looking for more action, head to Kilroy’s on Georgia Street for a night of fun and sports.

Get Out & Go

Get Active! Your guide to discovering Indianapolis by foot, bike or kayak!

(9:00-9:45a.m.) Head on down to Osteria Pronto for a generous breakfast buffet right at the JW Indianapolis hotel. Energize with some omelets or pancakes to start your morning right.

(10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) Spend some time at the historic waterway that runs through White River State Park and downtown Indy. Travel the Canal by foot (walk or jog), Segway, pedal boat and surrey bikes rentals or in a gondola with a serenading gondolier.

(12:00-1:00p.m.) When you’re done exploring the Canal, head to the north end of the waterway for lunch at the Burgerhaus.

(1:15 – 4:30p.m.) Rent a bike (or bring your own) and hit the 7.5 mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail, where you can explore five downtown cultural districts connected by the trail including Fountain Square, Indiana Avenue, Mass Ave, the Canal & White River State Park and the Wholesale District and grab a sweet Nicey Treat.

(4:45–5:30 p.m.) After that ride you’ll need a break. Swing back to the JW Marriot hotel for some R&R before you go to dinner.

(6:00-7:30p.m.) Assuming the bike ride built up your appetite, check out Bluebeard in Fletcher Place a trendy New American kitchen serving sharing plates & craft cocktails in a renovated 1924 warehouse.

(7:45p.m. – ???) The night is young! Get up and go to Action Duckpin Bowl & Atomic Bowl Duckpin, a vintage gem in Fountain Square. Enjoy a friendly game while sipping on a cocktail or two before you leave.

As the saying goes, girls just want to have fun and there is no better place for a fun-filled girl’s trip than downtown Indianapolis!

(9:00-9:45a.m.) Kick start your morning with breakfast at Café Patachou. Just a quick walk from the JW Indianapolis hotel, you can enjoy omelets to waffles, and even a mimosa if you please.

(10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) What better way to start out your day, than with a little shopping and exploring in one of downtown’s cultural districts on Mass Avenue? Here you’ll find many boutiques with everything from odds and ends to clothing and shoes.

(12:00-1:00p.m.)While you’re on Mass Ave, take a break for lunch at Barcelona Tapas and enjoy some small, sharable plates with the gals.

(1:15-2:45p.m.) Take a tour of one of the largest and oldest general art museums, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and see over 50,000 pieces of art housed in the various exhibitions.

(3:00–4:00 p.m.) Cocktail time? Take a tour or check out the Easley Winery Tasting room and have some fun testing out the season’s wines. You can even pick up a bottle or two to take home!

(4:15-6:00p.m.) Return to the JW Indianapolis hotel to rest and get ready for the evening.

(6:00–7:15p.m.) Head downstairs to dine at one of Indy’s outstanding Italian restaurants, Osteria Pronto, and enjoy the Tuscan- themed décor, food and wine bar.

(7:30–10:00p.m.) Enjoy a show and libations at The Cabaret!, a New York-style show of style and entertainment, at the Columbia Club in Monument Circle.

(10:15p.m.-??) If you’re looking to continue your night out, dance your way over to listen to Howl at the Moon where you can listen to the amazing piano bar until 2 a.m.

(9:00-9:45a.m.) Head on down to Osteria Pronto for a generous breakfast buffet right at the JW Indianapolis hotel. Enjoy some omelets or kid-friendly pancakes to start your morning right.

(10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) Visit the largest (and, according to Child magazine, the best) children’s museum in the world. The Indianapolis Children’s Museum features a five-level playground and engaging exhibits to enjoy science, history, art and culture

(12:00-1:00p.m.) Lunch Time! If you’re looking for some great family fun and food, Bazbeaux Pizza is the place to be.

(1:00-2:00p.m.) Rest your feet and go back to the JW Marriott for a break or quick nap for the kids before you head to your next destination. You deserve it!

(2:15 – 4:30p.m.) Get wild and head over to the Indianapolis Zoo to see the monkeys playing, walk through the butterfly exhibit or explore the 3.3 acre botanical garden.

(4:45–5:30 p.m.) Before you get dinner, head back to the JW hotel to refresh!

(5:45-7:00p.m.) At Punch Bowl Social, they aim to please. You’ll have no problem catering to everyone’s food desires at this fun and exciting spot.

(7:00p.m. – ???) End the night with some family friendly competition right at the restaurant. Here you can join in the game or just be a spectator as the kids play.
